@chilefex Yes, its quite ‘rojak’ as they would say in Malaysia ie, a bit of this and a bit of that. After 15 yrs in Asia/Australia I’m blessed wit the same affliction lol. Found the vids on Chile-living very interesting. Chile looms larger as a place to visit. My wife has wanted to visit South Am, would like to learn Spanish (personally struggling with Cantonese currently-shes Chinese-malaysian). Maybe (well) after our? daughter is delivered (this August) we’ll find some time :)

If you can buy a house with 5% deposit, it? usually means you have a credit driven housing bubble. The next time interest rates spike – your house prices will tank and the economy will hurt.

@sharpcin theres actually quite a bit of work…depends what you do and things are differnet here. im working on more advanced projects and having way more control than i would have in the states.? the money varies between less and the same as the states with a bias towards less. but its way cheaper to live here. people tend to work longer hours here and work harder and theres a surprisingly talented talent pool

@sharpcin i moved here before i had a family…now i? got 3 kids. it would be very difficult to do with a family i think. just in terms of the uncertainty factor…but if you had a steady income it woudnt be that hard. of course latin america isnt for everyone, but for me it was a breath of fresh air.

i was worried about the work situation especially as i do visual effects for commercials which seems like such an american occupation.

@chilefex yes, some pictures and general locations would be great,? when you really start to consider the idea of packing up your whole life, family and moving it to a foreign country it’s a pretty daunting thought… how do you find work/income?

  10. chilefex says:

@chadberry75 so is california…lol so are many places which previously werent….

.i lived through the big one last year and it sucked. i was in a 4rth floor apartment? which almost came down with 2 kids and pregnant wife . very frightening. however, generally chile is built for earthquakes. they got pretty strict building codes. in santiago there wasnt that much damage. now i live in a 1 floor house specifically to avoid that ever again

  11. chadberry75 says:

    NO? THANKS..CHILE IS EARTHQUAKE COUNTRY…

@chilefex It? would make for some interesting footage. A farmers market or something would be cool as well. Thanks for the video.

  15. chilefex says:

@aybesee123 sure im thinking the same thing….i might have a chance? this weekend to do that.

  16. aybesee123 says:

Maybe you could take some footage of some the the type of properties you are talking? about.
